Age and Identity Verification (and Authentication)

Overview

• Happy Fans Solutions Ltd and its subsidiaries (“Happy Fans”, “we”, “us”, “our”) respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data we process about you.
• All users of our platform, located at www.happy-fans.com (the “Platform”), must be at least 18 years of age. Before you can create a Creator Account or a Fan Account (in certain jurisdictions), we must verify your age and identity to ensure the safety and integrity of our community.
• We may also require you to periodically authenticate your identity while you hold an account with us to confirm that you remain the legitimate account holder.

Third-Party Processing of Face Recognition Data

• We engage trusted third-party verification partners (“Verification Partners”) to provide identity and age verification services on our behalf.
• These Verification Partners use face recognition and identity-matching technology as part of our ongoing efforts to promote user safety, prevent fraud, and comply with applicable laws and regulations.
• With your consent, our Verification Partners may process facial-recognition data for the following purposes:
  1. Verifying your age and identity by comparing a selfie you provide with the photo on your official government-issued identity document; and
  2. Authenticating your identity periodically, by requesting a new selfie to confirm that you are the verified account holder.
• Each Verification Partner is contractually required to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality safeguards for any personal data they process.
• Happy Fans does not collect, receive, or retain any facial-recognition data processed by our Verification Partners at any time during verification or authentication.

Withdrawing Your Consent to Retention for Authentication Purposes

• Where permitted by law, our Verification Partners may retain limited facial-recognition data from the initial verification process to facilitate future authentication.
• You may withdraw your consent to such retention (and request deletion of the retained data) at any time by contacting privacy@happyfans.app. We will relay your request to the relevant Verification Partner.
• Withdrawing consent will not prevent you from completing future verifications, but you may need to resubmit a selfie and identity document for re-verification.

Further Information

• If a Verification Partner detects potential fraud attempts (for example, forged or altered identity documents), it may retain relevant records, including facial-recognition data, to prevent unlawful activity and protect the Platform.
